
Biography:
Francis WEGA is a recognized expert in strategic management, project management, and innovation, with over 25 years of international experience. He has collaborated with more than 40 companies in the United States and Africa, covering various sectors such as telecommunications, air transport, defense, ICT, and finance. His background demonstrates his expertise and his ability to transform complex organizations.
Among his major achievements, Francis WEGA led the ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcasting) program for ITT-Advanced Engineering and Sciences, a revolutionary project that modernized air traffic management in the United States. In Africa, he successfully orchestrated the merger of the Airtel and Warid telephone companies in the Republic of the Congo, an initiative hailed as a model in the telecommunications sector. He also contributed to the restructuring and optimization of Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir), thereby strengthening the national airline’s competitiveness.
At the heart of his educational achievements, Francis WEGA is the founding member and project leader behind the creation of the American International School of Brazzaville (AISB). Under his leadership, this school was established and made operational in just 10 months, and then established itself as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Congo, offering education based on international standards. As a founding member of AISB and the African Foundation for Education (FAE), he plays a key role on the Board of Directors, where he guides strategic decisions to strengthen educational excellence in Congo and Africa.
Francis WEGA holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University in the United States and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Yaoundé. He has been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1996, and the first to obtain PMP® (2001) and PMI-SP® (2010) certifications in Central and West Africa.
